What's so Great About the Chevy Volt?

Some enthusiasts might argue that the 2012 Chevy Volt sells itself because of its 95 mpg city/93 mpg highway fuel economy ratings, but others might hesitate to say that the Volt is a true "best-seller." After all, the vehicle has had its share of ups and downs, but for those of us who understand what the Volt truly has to offer, we couldn't be happier with the vehicle. Some rockstar dealerships are even selling 25 or more Volts a month.

There are but a few sporty cars in the world that can claim the title of being in the "11-second club," a special bracket created for vehicles that can travel a quarter mile in around eleven seconds or less when equipped with street-legal, standard parts. One of the vehicles that can meet these requirements is the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, a slightly more suped-up version of the standard 2012 Chevy Camaro, which meets the 11-second mark when drag racing a quarter-mile.

Young Buyers Certain to Flock to New Chevrolet Code 130R Concept

Like the Field of Dreams, if Chevrolet builds it, they will come. Who are "they?" The answer is young buyers, and they're sure to flock to the newest Chevrolet concept, the Chevrolet Code 130R. Designed in GM's Advanced Studio in Hollywood, CA by British creator Joe Baker, the 130R concept takes into account a ton of research from young adults (predominantly college students at UCLA and Pepperdine, as well as some L.A. high school students) to embody what the younger generation is searching for in a sporty vehicle. Chevy researchers were surprised with the results of their surveys. As GM Advanced Design Director Frank Saucedo explains, "They knew Chevy was trucks . . . but they were surprised to learn the Corvette was also a Chevy."1 Among of the standout qualities students asked for was a four-seater so that they could travel with friends.

Advertising Experts Say Chevrolet Stole the 2012 Super Bowl

Call the 2012 Super Bowl Chevrolet advertisements what you will, but what they have proven to be above all else is effective. Advertising experts at CNBC/Collective Intellect Super Sunday Ad Tracker have applauded the brand for its clever advertisements this year, stating that they came in first place as far as purchase language is concerned (and pretty far ahead of all of its competitors, too.) Purchase language, if you don't know, is language that hints a buyers' intent to purchase a product based solely upon the advertisement.

The New and Improved Chevrolet Volt

If you watch the news, readers, you may know that our beloved Chevy Volt has had some small issues. As is the case with many new technologies, the Chevrolet Volt wasn't perfect when it initially debuted, but Chevrolet has certainly fixed these issues.  Despite the fact that the Chevy Volt has earned many accolades for its innovative technologies, and though there were no real-world situations which negatively affected the Volt, the technology did need to be tweaked. Chevrolet has, with the support of the NHTSA, been working on and has devised battery changes for the new Volt.

Chevy Helps Children Through Pictures of Hope Program

Compassionate auto brand Chevrolet had more to offer than impressive new 2012 Chevrolet models this holiday season. They offered, in a word, hope. Chevy recently partnered with celebrity photographer Linda Solomon's Pictures of Hope Program, a photographic mission to help children capture their hopes and dreams. The program focuses on children living in homeless shelters and dealing with at-risk situations throughout the United States. The children take everyday photos of their life to showcase these desires. And, while more comfortably-suited children might have wished for a new Playstation this Christmas, the Pictures of Hope Children had more selfless wishes like homes, happiness, and higher education.
